The Pope hates food waste

Here, an almost full bottle of
tomato juice is seen in a recycling bin.
Food waste is a major issue for
our society, never mind this
being a completely unacceptable
item for recycling carts.
This new pope and I seem to have a lot of the same concerns*. Now we can add food waste to the list.

*We certainly don't agree on lots of issues, but I'm liking this guy more and more.

  2. Those are all interesting links. Considering the influence the Pope has, perhaps there will be some significant momentum when it comes to tackling these issues. It almost makes me want to convert. Almost.

  3. Jenni,

Yeah, I hear ya. I mostly avoid religion, but I like a lot of the directions in which this new Pope is taking the Catholic faith. There's definitely some topic areas that he and I do not agree on still. For a person who works in waste (and knows how detrimental the food waste problem is) it was really refreshing to read his remarks about it. He was pretty unequivocal about it.
